Truck racing ideal proving ground for Exol
Exol has agreed to sponsor Newell & Wright Motorsport in this season’s British Truck Racing Championship.
Finishing third last season and powered by Exol’s market leading oils, the partnership looks set to thrive again in 2020, with more trucks expected to race in the championship.
The 1100BHP truck is built on a MAN TGS chassis and weighs 5.3 tonnes. Featuring seven races, 2020’s BTRC starts on 4 and 5 April at Brands Hatch, before returning to the same venue on 7th and 8th November for the season finale.
As one of the UK’s largest privately-owned haulage companies, Sheffield-based Newell & Wright runs a fleet of over 120 vehicles, offering its customers a variety of container, haulage and freight solutions from its two main depots located in the South and North.
The company also supplies liners for Exol’s steel containers, for exporting its bulk product overseas.
Exol’s branding will feature on the side of the truck and most notably down the sleeves of experienced driver John Newell. He said: “Exol is a very important partner to the team and its high-quality products are used both on and off the track, throughout our 120-strong haulage fleet. Furthermore, we are in regular dialogue with the technical team at Exol, using its Fluid Check analysis programme to check the performance of our Fluids after each race.”
