Exol narrowly misses out on manufacturing award

Exol Lubricants has narrowly missed out on becoming the Birmingham Post‘manufacturing company of the year’, after the shortlisted company successfully reached the finals.

From a large number of companies that applied, Exol Lubricants were one of four companies vying for the award, with the winner names as Sertec Ltd.

More than 80 companies have entered the awards and an expert panel judged each of the shortlisted businesses. Winners were announced at an awards event held recently at Edgbaston stadium and hosted by television newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky.

Reaching the final highlights an exceptional year so far for Exol Lubricants, with the company reporting good growth in the automotive, commercial vehicle, industrial and rail industries along with new business with First Bus and the investment of more than £2million into the redevelopment of its Wednesbury head office and production site.

While narrowly missing out on the top prize this time, Steve Dunn, Exol Lubricants sales director, is eager to go one better next time around. “Congratulations to the worthy winner Sertec, but we’ll be back next year to try and win the prize of manufacturing company of the year.Being shortlisted for this award demonstrates how far we have come as a company and it’s important that we continue to raise the profile of not only ourselves but the industries and customers we serve.

Other companies nominated for the Birmingham Post Manufacturing company of the year alongside Exol Lubricants were as follows: Professional Polishing Services, Sertec and Titania.
