Exol sponsors Team Donegal Oil cycling in aid of autism

Exol Lubricants, the UK’s leading independent lubricants company, has announced it is sponsoring Team Donegal Oil Ireland in 2018’s Race Across America.

The team, entered by Team Donegal Oil Company, is raising money to provide educational aids to schools, charities and sporting organisations across Donegal to support children and young adults with autism.

Dubbed the “Toughest Cycle Challenge in the World”, Race Across America (RAAM) is one of the most respected and longest running ultra-endurance events in the world, around 30% longer than the Tour de France.

The race, which started on 12 June in Oceanside, under one of the longest piers in California, sees participants cycling 3000 miles, across 12 states, and climbing over 170,000 vertical feet, with a maximum of nine days to complete the continual race before finishing at City Dock in Annapolis, Maryland, known as the East Coast sailing Mecca.
