multigrade oil meets Ford’s latest spec
Exol Lubricants, the UK’s largest independent oil blender, has illustrated its expertise in bringing the latest technology to the automotive aftermarket after unveiling a brand-new engine oil that meets Ford’s latest WSS-M2C913-D engine specification.
Exol’s Optima Vimax FD 5W-30 is a fully-synthetic, fuel efficient, multigrade engine oil and is one of the first of its kind currently available in the automotive industry that meets Ford’s latest specification.
Ford has stated that this specification of oil can be used on all Ford diesel engines – apart from the Ford Ka TDCi 2009 and the Ford Galaxy 1.9 TDi 2000-2006. It is also particularly suitable for use in the Ford Transit and Ranger vehicles (from 2012 onwards), which have long oil drain intervals and use biodiesel or high sulfur fuel.
The versatility of Exol’s Optima Vimax FD 5W-30 product is demonstrated by its backwards compatibility to previous specifications, meaning it can also be used where Ford WSS-M2C913-A, B or C are required.
Steve Dunn, Exol Lubricant’s Sales Director, said: “The introduction of this new oil follows swiftly on from our launch of Optima Vimax F 5W-20, a fully-synthetic engine oil specifically formulated for the latest Ford EcoBoost engines.
“Our latest Optima Vimax FD 5W-30 product is the ideal choice in many normally aspirated and turbocharged petrol and diesel engines designed to use a fuel saving engine lubricant. This is a highly stable, stay-in-grade product that allows extended oil drain intervals to be achieved and we’re proud to be one of the first suppliers to offer this product to the trade.”
Exol’sOptima Vimax FD 5W-30 product is available to customers in various quantities, including bulk road tanker deliveries, IBCs, 205 litre barrels and 25 litre drums.
